I’m John Graham Harper, CEO of Lumaflex. My background is in competitive sport, fitness, and building gyms and performance businesses globally. After a series of serious injuries and a brain tumor, I was introduced to red light therapy during recovery — which led me to build Lumaflex with a clear mission: make this technology accessible, effective, and usable in real life.
Lumaflex is a medical-grade red and near-infrared light therapy company designing portable, flexible, and waterproof devices used across wellness, sports, and medical environments. Today, we’re distributed in over 20 countries, used by military units and emergency teams, including ambulances in Europe, and recognized globally with 11 design and innovation awards, including TIME Magazine Best Invention.
Alongside our devices, we’ve built the Lumaflex Academy — an education platform accredited by ACE, NASM, and AFAA — training coaches, therapists, and medical professionals to apply light therapy effectively for pain, recovery, brain health, and overall wellbeing.
